File Manager

The file maintenance screen provides basic file maintenance for your data. You probably will never need to use any of the procedures.

Tag All - selects all the data files so you can perform file maintenance.

UnTag - unselects data files

Build - rebuilds your index files. You may want to use this feature if your data is not displayed in the correct sort order on your browse window.

Pack -- when you delete a record from the database the record is not physically removed from your disk. If you delete a lot of records you can run this procedure to remove the wasted disk space.

Release -- will release a file or records that are locked in a network environment.

Info -- displays the number of records in the database.

Fix - the procedure will attempt to repair corrupted data files.  You should only run this procedure upon direction from TurboSystemsCo.
