A New Chapter In Turbo’s Story
I want to share my perspectives on Turbo Systems’ Series A funding by Mayfield Ventures. Needless to say, I am thrilled about every aspect of it – the who, the why and the when. This funding will allow us to accelerate our plans for R&D, marketing, sales and customer success.
My personal excitement about Turbo’s quest is almost indescribable. My recent journey at ServiceMax was rich, challenging, and fulfilling in so many ways. When it culminated with a $1B acquisition by GE Digital two years ago, I thought I had climbed to the very top of the mountain – only to recognize quickly that I had just reached Everest basecamp, standing in awe of what I saw in front of me: An opportunity to enable the next wave of business productivity with the help of modern technology!
While the need for businesses to be dynamic, hyper-productive and efficient is not fundamentally new, the breathtaking technological progress of the last decade allows for that need to be addressed in disruptive ways. That’s exactly what we intend to do. Turbo Systems is a no-code universal engagement platform that provides an all-in-one Enterprise-grade toolkit for businesses to rapidly create sophisticated engagement experiences with just a few clicks. An application that can be deployed to employees, partners and customers alike, and one that is universal in nature, complementing existing systems already in place! We will remain steadfast in our goal of bringing the best available User Engagement technologies that customers can easily deploy into of their existing systems, and realize value swiftly.
The decision to partner with Mayfield was very straightforward. I have been fortunate to know and work with Rajeev Batra and the amazing Mayfield team for several years. The team has unparalleled expertise, razor-sharp focus and a stellar track record of creating numerous well-known names in the Enterprise B2B world. They are a true partner in every sense of the word – genuinely sharing our excitement about the magnitude of the Turbo opportunity, bringing a long-term view about this marathon, and providing guidance & support long before we even decided to join forces.
We spent the last 16 months architecting and building a foundational product and obtained significant validation for our vision at Dreamforce 2018. We learned businesses of all sizes from a wide range of industries are really hungry for a no-code universal engagement platform. This sentiment was shared by IT and business users both! With that backdrop, this funding will create incredible action at Turbo! We will surround ourselves with exceptional talent across the board. We will rollout product innovation at unprecedented speeds. We will introduce inventive ways for customers to consume our products & services. We will forge meaningful partnerships. We will utilize every opportunity to share Turbo’s mission. Most importantly, we will listen to customers intently and align our plans to meet their needs.
